My Sea to Sky is asking ߣÄÌÉçÇøto get under their umbrella-ella-ella — in the shape of a larger-than-life orca.
People are asked to come out on Sept. 29 to show their support for the Howe Sound ecosystem. Organizers say this is a family friendly event, which will be followed by a picnic. There will also be live music, yoga, face painting, and kids’ activities as well as food trucks and a drinks garden. A film screening and silent auction will close out the event.
The formation will be captured on a video by a drone, starting at 4 p.m. at O’Siyam Pavilion.
In previous years, My Sea to Sky hosted a similar ‘flotilla’, dozens of kayakers and stand-up paddlers forming the shape of a heart on the Howe Sound.
My Sea to Sky was founded in 2014 as an environmental organization to fight Woodfibre LNG and advocate for the restoration of Howe Sound.
