WildSafeBC is hoping locals can welcome two black bear families to the Estuary 鈥� by leaving them alone.
鈥淒ue to two additional vulnerable black bear family units utilizing the Estuary for food, water and shelter, wildlife 鈥榟otspot鈥� signage and leashes have been placed at two key trailheads leading into the Estuary,鈥� the authority posted on Facebook.
The organization is asking people to leash their dogs when passing through the area.
Leashes have even been left on some of the signed areas for those who may have forgotten to bring them.
鈥淧lease do your part to keep these bear families wild,鈥� WildSafeBC said.
