The spirit of Christmas returns to the Britannia Mine Museum on Saturday, Dec. 8.
Enjoy family-friendly activities, including a train ride and a memorable photo with Santa! All on-site from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Santa will be taking pictures from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The BAG 鈥� December on the walls
This month at the Brackendale Art Gallery, images from local photographers will be on display.
Pictures of eagles will be adorning the gallery.
The feature photographers include Tim Cyr, Breanna Wilson, Thor Halvorson, Ed Dubois and Isreal Cruces.

Howe Sound Winter Gala 2018
The Howe Sound Music Department will be hosting its winter gala on Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. It鈥檒l include a silent auction, a social, dinner, entertainment, concert band performances

Food for fines
From Dec. 1 to 9, bring in听 commercially packaged, unexpired, non-perishable food items to the 撸奶社区Public Library and they will deduct $5 per item from your library fines.
The loot will be donated to the local food bank.

撸奶社区has some of the most prolific hiking and walking groups that you can find in any community.
With three clubs dedicated to trekking through the outdoors, you鈥檒l find plenty to do if getting around on two feet is your preferred method of transportation.
- Over the Hill Hikers meet this week on Dec. 11. Gondola Trails. Meet 9:30 a.m. at the gondola.听 Details at 604-815-8561.

- The Tantalus Walking Group will hike this week on Dec. 11 at Cheekye Fan. Meet at the corner of Ross and Government roads..
The group will also take a walk at Stump Lake on Dec. 13. Meet at the Alice Lake parking lot.
