The local business community is stepping up to help Sea to Sky Gondola employees who may find themselves out of job as a result of its closure.
Tourism 撸奶社区and the 撸奶社区Chamber of Commerce will host a job fair for gondola employees at Aug. 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the 撸奶社区Adventure Centre.
The gondola remains closed for an indefinite amount of time, as RCMP investigate suspected sabotage.
Investigators said the gondola's main cable was cut in the early hours of Aug. 10.
As one of the 撸奶社区area鈥檚 major employers, the effects of its closure have had wide-reaching impacts on gondola staff, weddings, musicians and tour guides.
RCMP have said they won鈥檛 be releasing further information for now.
